Under the aegis of the national initiative Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB), launched by the Government of India to promote unity in diversity, cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and emotional integration among the youth of the nation, the students of Forest Research Institute Deemed to be University (FRIDU), Dehradun, organized a drawing competition to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The objectives of the program were strategically designed to integrate the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat with student unity and social responsibility, and included the following:

 

  • To strengthen national unity and emotional integration among students through collective participation in a socially relevant cause.
  • To develop a sense of shared responsibility, togetherness, and peer bonding among students from diverse cultural and regional backgrounds.
  • To educate students about the physical, psychological, and social ill-effects of drug abuse.
  • To create awareness about the vision, mission, and key initiatives of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
  • To encourage peer-to-peer sensitization and student-led awareness campaigns, reinforcing leadership and teamwork.
  • To promote a drug-free, disciplined, and healthy campus environment through united student action.
  • To inculcate values of social harmony, discipline, and collective well-being, which lie at the core of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat mission.

Conclusion:

The drawing competition organized under the banner of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat successfully fostered a spirit of student unity, national integration, and social responsibility among the participants. The programs not only enhanced awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse but also strengthened peer bonding, cultural harmony, and collective action on the campus. The active involvement of students in the competition and participatory events reflected their growing sense of ownership towards national causes and community well-being. The initiative proved to be a meaningful step towards building a drug-free, disciplined, and united youth force, in true alignment with the vision of a healthy, harmonious, and integrated India. The programme were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Deepshikha Nirala, Dr. Gaurav Pandey and Dr. Priya Bisht.
