The FRI, Dehradun campus has a state of art library named “National Forest Library and Information Centre”. The library has a collection of 1.2 lakh books, 32000 bounded periodicals and subscribes 118 Indian and 150 foreign periodicals with reprographic facility.
Round the clock Internet facility is available in the Computer Lab as well as in the Hostels.
A well equipped hospital with qualified doctors and ambulance is situated in the campus which provides round the clock medical facility.
The University has well equipped gym, playgrounds for basket ball, badminton, lawn tennis and having all other sports facilities. Every year annual sports are organized by the University in which students show their caliber.
FRI (Deemed) University provides merit scholarship to the topper students in each course. The scholarship may be upto Rs.11, 000/- per semester and is awarded separately for each semester depending on the result of the previous semester. For the purpose of award of scholarship in the first semester the result of the entrance test is considered and the topper in general category and SC/ST category are awarded the scholarship in each course.
Students from different parts of the country having different cultural backgrounds join the University. Student club gives them opportunity to present the rich heritage of their area during the annual cultural program. Every year students show their talent with great zeal.
EXTRA – CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Apart from the official organizations approved by the Institute, students residing in the hostel with the permission of the Director organize Societies and Association for healthy promotion of their academic cultural, athletic and social welfare activities.
