Special Lecture on Fulbright Fellowship for Study, Research, and Teaching in the US organized by Forest Research Institute Deemed to be University (FRIDU), Dehradun
[Dehradun, 13/03/2024] – The special lecture on Fulbright Fellowship for Study, Research, and Teaching in the US was organized in the Convocation Hall, Forest Research Institute, Dehradun for the students of all M.Sc. Courses and Ph.D. scholars of all research disciplines, along with scientists and other faculty members. This special lecture aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the Fulbright Fellowship opportunities for study, research, and teaching in the United States.
The session commenced with the inaugural address by Dr. Vineet Kumar, Dean (Academic), FRIDU. He welcomed the speaker, Dr. Inumulu Jaya Bharti, the Programme Coordinator of The Indian Fulbright Program with the United States – India Education Foundation and all other dignitaries and the participants.
Dr. Inumulu Jaya Bharati, has been working with many institutes across the country for the publicity of Fulbright fellowships. She worked on large scale bilateral and multilateral programmes funded by the European Union, UNICEF, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in education, livelihood, health, local governance and social justice.
This special lecture served as an invaluable platform for aspiring scholars, researchers, and educators to gain comprehensive insights into the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship program. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the various categories of Fulbright Fellowships available, including but not limited to: (i) Research Scholar Program: Designed for scholars and professionals to conduct research in the United States. (ii) Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowship: Targeted towards outstanding Indian scholars to teach and conduct research in the United States. (iii) Fulbright Teaching Assistant Program: Providing opportunities for young educators to teach and assist in teaching English language programs in the United States. The lecture also delved into the application process, eligibility criteria, selection procedure, and the benefits associated with the Fulbright Fellowship, thereby equipping attendees with essential knowledge to embark on their Fulbright journey.
Furthermore, attendees also interacted with the speaker actively and clarified any queries regarding the Fulbright Fellowship program.
This special lecture presented a unique opportunity for all students, scientists and other officials ofRI, Dehradun, to explore the myriad opportunities offered by the Fulbright Program.
