A special talk on “Creating Awareness about Health Benefits of Yoga”
On 25th April 2022, a special talk on International Yoga Day was conducted under the ongoing programme of AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV. On this occasion, Forest Research Institute Deemed University, Dehradun invited Shri S.P. Singh, Ex- Forest Officer and Yoga Instructor to speak on “Creating Awareness about Health Benefits of Yoga” with the intention to connect our students by means of yoga. Yoga helps boost Self-Esteem and Confidence and brings learning to the family on an experiential level. Yoga teaches them to persevere, be patient and work towards their goals. Yoga also provides tools for practising compassion, mindfulness, generosity, focus, strength, and flexibility. The talk was highly informative and highlighted the importance of Yoga in our day-to-day life. Such events help the general public grow as a more well-informed and enlightened civilisation and showcase the importance of Yoga in day-to-day life.
